Hanna Hamilton is a litigation associate who focuses her practice on criminal defense in both North Carolina state court as well as Federal court. She is passionate about criminal defense and is dedicated to serving as a fierce and compassionate advocate to all.
Hanna graduated from Appalachian State, Summa Cum Laude, with bachelor’s degrees in both International Criminal Justice and International Comparative Politics. Hanna then went on to UNC School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctor and graduated in the top third of her class.
While in law school, Hanna served as a Research Assistant in the Juvenile Parole Project, where she represented and advocated in front of the North Carolina Parole Commission on behalf of incarcerated individuals who were sentenced as juveniles to life without the possibility of parole. Additionally, Hanna had the opportunity to participate in UNC Law’s Youth Justice Clinic. While in the clinic, she had the opportunity to represent juveniles charged with criminal offenses.
Hanna also interned at the Mecklenburg County Public Defender’s Office and the Alamance County District Attorney’s office. Experiencing both sides of the courtroom, Hanna found that her passion was in representing and helping individuals facing criminal charges. Hanna strives to focus on all her client’s needs in a compassionate and creative way.
Born and raised in North Carolina, Hanna now calls Charlotte home. Outside of work, Hanna enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling with her friends and family.
